I have been a player / DM of the AD&D role-playing game for over twenty years. I have been surfing the internet for about 10 years. Darkholme Keep has been around since 12/05/98. I started learning HTML and other aspects of web design around the same time. I don't think that I have ever seen an award specifically for outstanding AD&D websites. Consequently, I have decided to start one. I have a very good knowledge of the game, and imagination. I know what well written, clean html and javascript look like.(Even though miine is rather messy sometimes). So I feel that I am qualified to make the determination of what sites are good. Please read the award rules before applying for the Dark Realms of AD&D Award for Website Excellence. |
~ Rules ~
The rules are very simple. Read them carefully:
Your site MUST be at least 90% about AD&D.
You must have a good, clean layout, easy navigation, decent load times for your content.
No sites with just links, archives and downloads (unless the downloads are your own creation, I may consider you).
You must have some original content (ie, characters, campaign world, etc).
You must have fairly clean code. No broken links/pics, bad javascript, etc. If my browser crashes or something similar, you lose. I WILL check your code on all your pages.
No bandwidth theft. Again, I WILL check your code on all your pages.
I will not even consider friends or friendly-aquaintences websites, so don't even ask. It is not fair to the rest of the websites out there.
No XXX sites.
No excessive profanity, no racism, defamatory content, slanderous content, etc.
All rules are subject to Darkholmes interpretation. If you are unsure if you are following all the rules, APPLY! For now, I will be giving this award out bi-weekly. If you are interested in applying for this award, please fill out the application mailer. APPLY
